The best patient outcome is likely to occur when a patient follows a specific treatment plan. ChartLogic EMR controls this with Diagnosis Director; a problem based tool in which users can setup standardized treatment plans within the electronic medical records software.

Diagnosis Director creates standardized care plans, simple documentation of those care plans, and easy tools to complete the individual tasks necessary to finish the patient encounter. With Diagnosis Director the doctor chooses a diagnosis, and then a short list of plan items displays, specifically setup for that diagnosis. The provider can quickly choose the appropriate codes for the care plan, and proceed with the patient encounter.

As an example, the clinician can say "Medial Meniscus", pick an office visit code, view an E&M consultant message, order 3-view x-rays of the left knee, fax a prescription for ibuprofen to the patient's preferred pharmacy, choose a surgical plan, and setup a patient education video on Medial Meniscus Tears. This is completed in less than 10 seconds, and documents all of this into the patient encounter note.

Billing codes from Diagnosis Director are then sent immediately to the medical billing software or medical practice management software, saving time and money.
