ChartLogic EMR | Exam Screen |
The medical patient encounter is the central point of any patient health record. Creating the patient encounter documentation can be extremely complex. Most physicians use voice dictation to quickly document their exams; however this is costly and inefficient. Using voice capture, doctors dictate exceptions and rely on their transcriptionist to enter the normal exam elements. Many have tried to use medical office software with keyboard typing, webpage style point & click functionality, or some combination thereof. Even with templates, these are very inefficient, and will slow the doctor down. Unfortunately for doctors, there is nothing more efficient than dictation.
Electronic Medical Records Software was introduced as a way to digitally store patient charts, as a cost cutting method. Once this innovation was complete, it became clear that providers needed a better way to complete this documentation process.
Fortunately, ChartLogic realizes that the most efficient mechanism of data capture is the way doctors are currently practicing - voice dictation. In this documentation process, ChartLogic EMR captures the doctor's voice to complete the encounter documentation using PrecisionVoice™ technology. ChartLogic displays the entire note on one screen, allowing the user to dictate, navigate, and insert macros and templates, all using the power of the voice, without changing screens or annoying pop-ups. Additionally, the exam screen is built upon templates, allowing providers to simply modify the exceptions.
In short, the doctor can dictate as little as possible, completing an entire electronic health record in less than 90 seconds, an unparalleled feat.
