Get ready for a 365-day Meaningful Use reporting period!

As of January 1, 2015, Meaningful Use of certified EHR technology enters its 5th year. Eligible professionals who have completed Stage 1 must now advance to Stage 2, which involves new and modified core and menu objectives. Eligible professionals who completed their first year of Stage 2 in 2014 must continue down that same path. However, in 2015, all active Meaningful Use participants, regardless of Stage, face a full, 365-day reporting period for attestation purposes. Only first-year participants have an abbreviated, 90-day reporting period.
