ChartLogic, the first Complete Ambulatory EHR Certified for Meaningful Use, announced that nearly a dozen providers received full first-year EHR incentive payments of $18,000 in the first round of Medicare payouts in May.
In this round of EHR incentive payments, Medicare paid out nearly $75 million in total to recipients. Due to the structure of the payments, only providers who signed up in the first two weeks of eligibility, and only those providers who had filed Medicare claims with more than $24,000 in Medicare allowed amounts, were reimbursed in the first wave. Many other providers will be paid once they hit the Medicare allowed amount threshold.
It is believed that ChartLogic users make up one of the largest groups of eligible professionals to be paid, due to the speed at which they were able to be certified and the speed at which the users were able to install, train, and use the certified software.
